The HGH-UZ universal chuck enables quick, easy, and micrometer-precise tool holder changes via a ball bushing with a quick-change mechanism for tensioning elements of any design. It is equipped with a 4 x 90° locking mechanism for positioning lathe tools, as well as a power-operated spindle brake, and can be supplied with autofocus and/or a rotary encoder.

Adapter holders are available for virtually all tool holders—including those for Citizen, Gildemeister, Haas, Hardinge, Hydromat, Index, Mazak, Mori-Seiki, Okuma, Star, Traub, and many more.

The GA base holder is designed for manual adapter changes. Adapters are available for virtually all tooling systems and are all equipped with manual tool clamping.

For safety reasons, the rotary center measuring device with a swiveling CCD reflected-light camera and centered LED lighting is swiveled into position during standardized measurements. To measure tool cutting edges using reflected light, the camera can be swiveled and rotated into three positions. This allows tools to be measured from the front as well as from the left and right, depending on the cutting direction of the tools.
