»ace« spindle: quick change
The »ace« spindle directly mounts any tool holder via its ball bushing with zero backlash. You can insert the appropriate tool holders into the tool holder adapters and clamp them using a power-operated mechanism, just as in a machine tool. Tool holder adapter changes take 10 seconds and are performed with an accuracy of < 1 µm. The ROD rotary encoder precisely detects the position of the C-axis.
