Reflected-light camera with multi-LED segment lighting and CNC swivel mechanism – for inspecting and automatically measuring tool geometries on the circumference, in the chip space, and on the face. Simply enter the target parameters in the measurement program dialog, and every measurement parameter is automatically measured and logged: rake angle, clearance angle, groove contour, chamfer width, and many other geometries. The high-performance LEDs, segmented into eight zones, are automatically controlled by the measuring system and ensure optimal illumination of the surface through automatic intensity control—for high precision and repeatability.

With ZOLLER »hobCheck,« you can perform both contact and non-contact measurements using transmitted and reflected light: Equipped with a CNC-controlled swiveling optical mount, an electronic measuring probe, and transmitted and reflected light image processing, parameters such as tooth profile, concentricity/wobble, pitch, and many others can be measured automatically on hob cutters in accordance with DIN 3968.

The ZOLLER »pilot 4.0« software handles all calculations, positioning operations, and the assignment of sensors to the respective measurement task. The evaluation of tooth profiles and measured values, the calculation of quality grades, and the generation of graphical reports are performed fully automatically.

Guaranteed accuracy

Quality management standards are constantly rising. That is why you need to be able to rely on the consistent measurement accuracy of your machines. In ZOLLER measuring machines, length measurement deviations are determined using high-precision calibration standards made of Borofloat® glass in accordance with the DIN EN ISO 10360 standard. In accordance with this standard, at least three measurement sequences (25,326 relationships) are performed. This procedure documents the accuracy of ZOLLER measuring machines in two dimensions and ensures traceability at all times.
