Connected manufacturing means that tool data is transferred simply, quickly and without errors throughout the process chain. With its numerous interfaces, ZOLLER ensures that data flows not only within the ZOLLER system, but also into and out of it.

The ZOLLER TMS Tool Management Solutions software exchanges data with tool catalogues and CAD/CAM systems. The »pilot« measuring machine software offers DNC interfaces for data transfer to machining centres. Furthermore, tool management solutions from other manufacturers and production control systems can be integrated.

CAM interfaces

Maintain the tool data just once in the central tool database »z.One« and access it directly from your CAM system. Depending on the system, you can then send the tool list (setup sheet) back to ZOLLER TMS. This ensures that programming, simulation and production all use the same tool data.

ZOLLER TMS is integrated with over 25 CAM and simulation systems, including Mastercam, hyperMILL, Siemens NX, ESPRIT, SolidCAM, TopSolid, Tebis and Vericut.

The AdCAM interface links ZOLLER TMS with CAM programming for different types of machining processes. Tool data is managed centrally and provided automatically.

The PowerMill interface connects ZOLLER TMS directly to the CAM programming system. Tool data, contours and technology data are managed centrally and automatically provided in PowerMill.

The connection with TopSolid links the tool database and CAM programming. Applications can access approved tools and up-to-date technology data from ZOLLER TMS at any time.

The PEPS integration provides a connection between ZOLLER TMS and CAM programming for different machining processes. Tool data is managed centrally and provided automatically.

Which ZOLLER software do I need for a CAM interface?

ZOLLER TMS Tool Management Solutions in a minimum version with a dependence on the CAM system, as well as the add-on »z.CAM Integration«. The exact stipulations are listed on the page for the respective system.

Is data only transferred to the CAM system, or is it also transferred back?

For most systems, this works in both directions: tool data is sent to the CAM system, and the setup sheet containing the required tools is returned to the ZOLLER database.

Are contours or 3D data also transferred?

Depending on the system, either tool contours or 3D models are transferred. The exact data to be transferred is specified in the technical specifications for the relevant interface.
