(TU) of Darmstadt, Germany is currently working with

»digitalTwin«
Software Module
The ZOLLER
»digitalTwin« software module for grinding and
sharpening companies and tool manufacturers now allows
creation and management of tool data as individual
components directly on the ZOLLER measuring machine,
according to the article characteristic structure DIN
4000 / ISO 13399. Production operations benefit not only
from real tools, but also from their "digital twins". In
addition you can generate 2D and 3D models of the tool
according to the DIN 4000 / ISO 13399 parameters. Direct
transfer of article characteristics data is possible in
xml or in csv format to nearly all tool management
systems.

Database
The
combination of ZOLLER tool presetters and measuring
machines along with TMS Tool Management Solutions lays
firm foundations for the Factory of the Future. The
ZOLLER central tool database, z.One, organizes all tool
data throughout the entire life cycle of a tool, right
across all departmental barriers – from Production
Planning to CAD/CAM, Inventory, Tool Presetting &
Measuring, and to the machine. Tool data can be imported
in a time-saving manner, for example, from Kennametal,
GTDE, the Machining Cloud, or
