The basic elements of a ZOLLER measuring device are made of a specially hardened light alloy. The main advantages compared with gray iron or granite are higher tensile strength and better thermal conductivity, without distortion.
The base frame is braced by a large number of precisely calculated supporting struts that optimize the statics of the structure and minimize distortion. It is precisely aligned by means of adjustable vibration dampers. |
